1.Increase in multiculturalism, especially with the migrations from Mexico.
2.Changes in language represented in the USA and their percentages, and where spoken.
3.The percent of non-religious people reported in our country.
4.The increasing move to urban and suburban areas from rural settings.
5.The amount of TV watched, and the shows/channels available (very little cable, no Satellite, very few shows.No such thing as a kid’s channel.
6.Food habits.Eating out was an uncommon thing, now everyone eats fast food regularly.People used to actually make foods, and not just throw something in the microwave or just add water.
7.Family sizes were bigger, with more siblings, which has now changes.
8.There are now more opportunities for women in the workplace, and in college.More women now actually attend college than men do, this was not the case in the 1970′s.Also, they types of jobs women did have changed as well.Woman are no longer limited to nursing, secretarial, or teaching jobs and can do nearly everything a man can do (except for certain specialties in the military).
9.The way youth spend their time has changed.Now days everyone plays many video games and surfs the net.There were no computers available to children until the 1980′s, and video games were only available at arcades, and pretty limited at this time.People had to read and play more (as TV was mostly made for adults except for early in the morning, early in the afternoon, and Saturday morning).
10.People could not cheat on their homework by asking such questions on the internet and expecting to have others do their work for them (include this phrase in your essay, it will be hilarious).
11.People knew how to write and how to spell.With spell check and computers people stopped learning such things.
